With more than 25 years of distinguished experience in higher education, she is a Computer Science academic, researcher, with contributions to teaching, curriculum development, academic administration, student mentorship, and research. She currently serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science. As a pioneer faculty member of the Punjab University College of Information Technology (PUCIT), she has contributed to the development and strengthening of computing education and academic programs. Her extensive teaching experience in teaching core areas of Computer Science including Programming Fundamentals, Data Structures, Analysis and Design of Algorithms, and Operating Systems. She has served as a member of the Board of Studies for more than five years She has also contributed as a Faculty Advisor of Event Management Society. She currently serves as a Degree Supervisor in the Computer Science Department and as Controller of Examinations for four departments within the Faculty of Computing and Information Technology (FCIT).
She has also supervised numerous undergraduate and graduate level thesis. Her research interests encompass Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Vision, Image Processing, and High-Performance Computing, with a particular interest in applying intelligent computational techniques to challenging real-world problems. During her PhD studies, she collaborated with the European Synchrotron Radiation Facility (ESRF), contributing to advanced research in Computer Vision involving scientific imaging and data analysis techniques. This research experience strengthened her interest in interdisciplinary applications of computing and intelligent technologies. Alongside her research activities, she remains actively engaged in student supervision, research guidance, innovative teaching practices, and academic development.
